CALLAS participated to 1st International Conference on PErvasive Technologies Related to Assistive Environments (PETRA) in Athens. The PETRA Conference brings together different types of technology to address an important social and healthcare issue: as the world's population ages, there is growing interest in solutions for the in- home care of the elderly. Of particular interest for CALLAS is the Workshop on Affect-aware Human-Computer and Human-Robot Interaction . This workshop is based on themes from successfully completed and current European projects in the fields of interfaces and robotics, such as Humaine, CALLAS, and Feelix-Growing. The event was an occasion to introduce the concepts of CALLAS related to interaction and emotion. Several members of CALLAS were in the program committee and a paper on gesture recognition was presented.
