The theme of real-time affect analysis and interpretation for virtual agents and robots was the central topic of 1st AFFINE (Affective Interaction in Natural Environments) workshop, hosted at the 10th International Conference on Multimodal Interfaces (ICMI 2008 in Chania, Crete).
