BIOSTEC 2010, the 3rd International Joint Conference on Biomedical Engineering Systems and Technologies, hold four co-located conferences, each specialized in a specific knowledge area. A special workshop was dedicated the discussion of B-Interfaces: Bio-inspired Human-Machine Interfaces and Healthcare Applications, aiming to assemble researchers from diverse backgrounds together to discuss ideas and solutions addressing the health/healing power of various environmental elements including social activity, diet and nutrition, joy and stress, family, and lifestyle. All of these aspects will in fact extend the scope of applying physiological signals to multi-disciplinary research fields and offer great potential for daily healthcare monitoring.
Two CALLAS papers were presented in this session:
"The Smart Sensor Integration Framework and its Application in EU Projects" by J. Wagner, F. Jung, J. Kim, Elisabeth Andre' and Thurid Vogt [UOA]. See Abstract
"Ensemble approaches to parametric decision fusion for bimodal emotion recognition"by Jonghwa Kim and Florian Lingenfelser [UOA]. See Abstract
